  • Houston Volunteer Lawyers - Through the Service of the Houston Bar Association, attorneys volunteer their time to provide legal services in civil matters for Houston. This program helps those who cannot get help through other legal aid programs and is based on income eligibility, including the HIV/AIDS community. • Houston Transgender Unity Committee - was formed to promote unity among the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered community, and to educate and advocate with open and honest advocacy. • GLBT Political Caucus - The Caucus is a nonprofit organization dedicated to screening and endorsing candidates dedicated to serving all Houstonians including those in the LGBTQ community.
• Pride Houston - Pride Houston strives to bring individuals who are LGBTQ and allies together to honor the Stonewall Riots by having the largest Pride Celebration in the southern United States where all may attend, be themselves and find like-minded people.
• Lambda Next Gen - Lambda Next Gen is dedicated to connecting Houston's LGBT young professionals through monthly professional networking social events, volunteer and fundraising opportunities, intramural sports, and professional development programs.

Social Services

• Safe House for All - Offers many social services to the LGBTQ Community such as fostering, long-term transitional housing, residential treatment, senior housing, education, networking, food outreach, clothing outreach, and music outreach.
• Tony's Place - A drop-in center focusing on LGBT+ youth up to 25 years of age who are unstably housed, couch surfing or experiencing homelessness. A safe space to access services such as hot meals, showers, laundry, clothing, wi-fi and more, free of charge.
• Young Adult Resource Center (YARC) - Connects homeless youth adults, ages 18-25, to housing and other mainstream supports while providing respite, emergency meals, job coaching, recovery coaching, and non-traditional educational support, tutoring, and re-engagement. Salvation Army - click on Life Navigation Needs
• Montrose Grace Place - Every Thursday, MGP opens its doors to the homeless youth of all sexual orientations and gender identities who are between the ages of 13 and 21 years old. Youth night is an evening of food, mentorship, and skills building. Additionally, a "shop" in our closet of donated supplies and toiletries are available.
• The Pink Giraffe House - Offers a safe haven for young victims of abuse, neglect or abandonment who need protection and assistance through a mentoring project, street outreach, drop-in center, and case management.
• Open Gates - A ministry that provides services for young LGBTQ adults (18-30) experiencing homelessness.

Legal Services

• Lone Star Legal Aid's mission is to protect and advance the civil legal rights of the millions of Texans living in poverty by providing free advocacy, legal representation, and community education that ensures equal access to justice.
• Trans-Legal Aid Clinic Houston - The Trans Legal Aid Clinic Houston was created to break down barriers transgender people, adults & minors face while changing names and gender markers on legal state documents.

Volunteer Opportunities

• Montrose Center – The Montrose Center has many opportunities for individuals and organizations to volunteer including a clerical assistant, youth facilitator, switchboard volunteer, and more! Volunteer application required.
• Pride Houston – Pride Houston seeks volunteers each year to help with the festival, parade, and 10 days of events.
• Montrose Grace Place – Montrose Grace Place has several levels of volunteering opportunities including direct volunteers, activity volunteers, kitchen crew, and clothing closet volunteers. You can also sponsor a meal if you are unable to give your time.
