Data theft

I find it interesting how after so many years of use in the staff and only be required to provide an email address that you verify that today when I woke up to log into the app it’s telling me I’m required to verify my phone number. I don’t know about you however this app is supposed to be about random people being able to meet up I’m not sure entirely why I would want to provide any more identifying information to a company that’s just going to sell it to make a profit off me. now if my verify email address is not enough for the account that I’ve had for God knows how many years then why would you think I provide you with more information?To make matters first when trying to reach out to those in customer service your entire set up literally requires me to give you information about my device the make and model my cellular provider my Internet provider. I’m sorry Grinder I will be deleting this app and I will also be recommending all of my friends to leave this song it is incredibly intrusive and a violation of my privacy to continually asked me for personally south identifying information. What are you guys going to start requiring me to provide you with my Social Security number next with my blood type, home address? this stops here and the stops now. Delete

Bogus reports not checked

After putting up s as review developers responded to contact via email and guess what the same response word for word!!! They don’t even bother to read your concerns DOESNT matter if you’re paying to support them or not. And to top it if you can’t get your money back... always thought this was a great app to meet new friends recently its getting worse an worse really wish there was another way for discreet guy’s to meet... especially since Grindr has HORRIBLE support

I never rate or review any kind of apps but this has got to be rectified.... So basically anyone who is denied or turned down by another user can send a bogus report and have them banned from the community and instead of Grindr investigating the issue or contacting the party that has been reported they place a permanent banned on your account and device. I find this to be disturbing and completely unfair. As someone who has been a grindr user for numerous years I’m high disappointed in the one sided process as EVERYONE has a preference and style of men they are attracted to. You should not penalize your supporters for not being attracted to everyone that taps or sends a message to them. I have now lost years of messages and favorited profiles ive had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with all because apparently someone must have reported me for turning them down. And the chat support is a complete waste of time as all you are getting is an automated response.

Banned..?

So after talking further, they kept my account banned and gave me the same responses as listed prior. Another waste of time. Furthermore, they then just charged me 3 days ago on my banned account for a MEMBERSHIP. FOR MY ACCOUNT THAT IS BANNED. Y’all, use scruff. Less drama and problems than this app.

Some guy randomly sent me sexual messages one day. I didn’t respond. So a little bit later he says he’s reporting me for not responding to him. I open the message and 10 seconds later, I’m banned. I emailed Grindr, waited a WEEK for a response and they said I broke guidelines. I asked which ones and they said “the guidelines”. I said no I didn’t what did I do? Send me a screenshot of my offense. They responded, they can ban anyone for any reason they want and not have to give a reason. Gets better then, like a plethora of other people on here, said they will not be answering further questions. It’s ridiculous that an app meant to “include” people is excluding tons of actually good people because when people report they fail to actually review and investigate to make Grindr a better place. I’ve report tons of people selling illegal substances or sending unsolicited nudes and nothing EVER happens to them. But because I didn’t respond to a guy wanting to lick my armpits I get banned. Super unhelpful “staff” bots who send repeated messages and don’t actually help with anything. Take your time to another gay app.
