Good dating titles for guys

If Tinder hasn't yet provided you with true love and you're still impotently swiping right to no avail, it turns out there may be a simple reason: your job just isn't sexy enough.

According to new research from the ubiquitous dating app, and its owner Match Group, not all professions are equally desirable.

The five most attractive professions in men on Tinder include pilot, entrepreneur, firefighter and doctor, as well as the very specific and vaguely unattainable "TV/radio personality".

In women, the top titles are physical therapist, interior designer, entrepreneur, PR/communications and teacher. Perhaps unsurprisingly, those who list their job as "Model" are also high up on the list for both genders, though 'Social Media Managers' were, for some reason, considered to be more attractive than models.

While Tinder hasn't commented on the gendered expectations bound up in the relative desirability of each of these titles, it has stated that sharing job details "increases your chances of receiving a right swipe".

The app introduced the ability to add job and education details in November, and according to a press release, "millions of users have added their job to their profiles". "Adding your job to your profile is a great way to provide additional insight for potential matches," it writes.

The list was compiled based on "the occupations of user profiles that received the highest ratio of right swipes from November 2015 to January 2016".
