Description
Find someone who will love your dog as much as you do. Or, meet someone you want to get a dog with in the future. When you’re dating and you’re a dog person, nothing matters more than finding someone who fits into your dog-forward lifestyle. Dig is a dating app that cuts to the chase and connects dog people based on what’s most important to them.
There’s more to compatibility than just checking off whether you’re a “dog owner” or a “dog lover.” Not all dogs get along. So, you can decide if you want to find someone currently with or without a dog, and you can filter by dog size. Then, Dig will present you with 5 of the best potential dates for you every day. You can look through all 5 profiles before deciding who you “dig,” “really dig,” or “pass” on each day.
Once two people “dig” each other, Dig helps you find a date idea. A “dog-friendly locations near you” search feature is built into the messaging area. The app also features daily “tips and tricks of the day” from experts such as vets and trainers as well as “daily deals” from pet businesses.
All dogs featured on Dig are available for adoption or were at the time of posting.
Dog people are always looking for ways to get dogs in their lives. You’ll linger near the dog park’s fence, you’ll repeatedly offer to dog-sit while your friends are away, and you’ll scan every dating app for photos of potential matches with dogs at their sides.
If you’re lucky enough to own a pup, you know that things never work out with someone if they’re not as into your dog as you are.
So, Dig founders Casey and Leigh Isaacson built a dating app that connects people based on what’s most important to them: their dogs.
Set your preferences and dog-owning status, so everyone knows the pup in your photos is actually yours and not just a friend’s dog you borrowed for extra likes.
If you have a dog, your matches will know his or her name and size up front (an easy conversation-starter)!
Worried about a big dog in your studio apartment? Sort profiles to only show matches who have small or medium dogs and keep your landlord happy.
Have a dog that doesn’t get along with others? Sort profiles for just people without dogs, so your buddy doesn’t have to compete for attention with another pup.
Find dog-friendly locations nearby to easily plan first dates your whole pack can attend.
Whether you’re a dog owner looking for someone as into your dog as you are, or a dog lover looking for all the benefits of having a dog, meet someone fur real with Dig.

Great app, wish more people were on it
I love the idea of this app and support it completely. I met my boyfriend on this app and we have been going strong for a year and are currently expecting our first child! I tell everyone about this app and hope that it can be successful for others. I think that you can tell a lot about a person by how they feel about animals and this app kind of lays that all out right away. A great concept and I hope it picks up steam soon
Scammers galore
If you’re looking to get taken for a ride use this app... I started talking to Stephen and his dog Jack who was supposed to be a doctor in the army stationed in Florida. I got suspicious when his English was barely third grade level so I checked out a few things and discovered that the college he claims he got his medical degree from doesn’t have a medical education facility. When I backed off with Stephen and Jack, I found Alex and his dog Peanut. Alex and Peanut just so happens to have the identical photos of Stephen and Jack. Same man, same dog, only now Alex is a contractor working overseas. Next I found a man (I don’t remember his name) claims to be from Houston, Texas only he cannot spell it correctly, and he has a dog named Pea. He wanted me download a photo of me ‘hanging out ‘ to him. He didn’t care what the picture was of he just wanted me to download it to him. And then it hit me like a ton of bricks! They were all the same people! They were trying to get into my phone to access my bank account information! They were trying to steal my hard earned cash! This website is a setup for scammers! BEWARE!! I almost lost everything I own and you can too!! Tell Stephen and Jack, Alex and Peanut, unknown and Pea what women think about men who take advantage of women! If dig website won’t do anything to stop them, we will have to do it ourselves!!
Lots of room for growth
I too was very excited for this app. There appear to be a few glitches… Which is to be expected considering it just launched. There is also hardly anyone in my area on the app yet. So there’s very few matches. Again… This is to be expected because it’s so new. As it starts to gain a reputation on the street more people will sign up. Right now it reminds me a lot of Bumble Dash as it only gives you five matches the day. I think that’s why most people are moving away from bumble. I think this would need to change in order for them to be very successful. But that’s just my opinion.
My main concern right now is that every time I open the app it tells me a different amount of hours needed prior to refreshing. Even though I haven’t been in the app or used it for several days. It’s possible there’s just no matches in my area and that’s why it’s doing that. I live in the SF Bay Area though..... so I’d imagine there would be SOME peeps on there. But it might lose it’s interest pretty quickly if this is a continued issue.
