The whole platform needs a rethink
I used to put up with the ads and stupid game requests to keep up to date with friends but my feed seems to be full of pointless shopping sites which upon investigation get slated for poor quality good or non-existent customer service. Please Facebook, more quality and much less quantity. The game ads that are obviously misleading should be banned, yet another candy crush type game which show a completely different feature (which isn’t in the game). How has this not been banned yet?? I bet if I post a picture of something which your algorithm picks out as overuse of fleshtones it would get removed in no time. Stop sending me ‘people you won’t know, but we want you to send them creepy random invites anyway’ I’m a big boy, I can search for people if I want them on my friends list. More often than not I’ll try to tag a friend and it never even appears to them, why??? The marketplace is nothing more than a pit for scammers and rip-off merchants to hang out, we already have a seedy cesspit that pretends to be a selling platform, it’s called GumTree and your marketplace is no better. I’ve now removed the app from my phone and check via browser a couple times a week because there is truly nothing worth my time day to day, unless I want to pick through the ads..... I refuse to use Messenger as it is nothing more than a route to send malicious content. No thanks
So so
The social is nice and everything, but a couple of things are quite annoying: first, when I report a comment clearly insulting me and my intelligence is quite never cancelled, which is not nice as I am polite with everyone and I think if someone attacks me for nothing the social should protect its users. Second: the notifications that have recently started to appear under official profiles’ posts are a bit annoying too, it’s like the social can object everything they say without giving the chance to reply and it’s telling us how to interprete a post like we don’t have a brain.
Third: a critical comment of mine that didn’t have anything offensive has been cancelled as I have received a notif that it goes against the community standards: when they treat me like a dumb or clearly offend me or anyone else with an opinion they never and I say never take them down even if I report them. Shame on you Facebook and fact checkers. 5 years old children are more mature than you. Pathetic way to pilot the public opinion.
Quite upsetting.
But for the rest it’s nice, I can keep in touch with far away friends and family and start interesting cultural discussions. If you could work on those 3 points it would be nice and it would show that you can grow up.
Many thanks.
Too many adverts & you have ruined Instagram
There’s always too many adverts ect. I don’t even see what my friends or family post unless I actually go into their Facebook. I sometimes see their posts on the home feed but not all the time, so they don’t see mine either and then it looks like no one cares about my posts. They think I’m not posting when I have or even updated something. I went off Facebook years ago because my posts wernt being seen no more and then Facebook brought Instagram... I absolutely loved instagram but since Facebook brought it... again people don’t see your posts. It’s just filled with people u might want to follow suggestions and adverts ect. I’ve read so many reviews on the Instagram review app and so many people are hating Instagram now. Instagram used to be the best platform for socialising and finding friends and sharing the same interests etc. Now you’ve ruined it”! Hashtags don’t even work no more. It’s pretty upsetting. All you care about is celebrities and influencers you can make money from, you don’t care about normal people no more. I’m sure one day someone will create a new and better app than Facebook and Instagram, then everyone will turn to that app and Facebook and Instagram will go right down hill. I get the feeling TikTok is going to be doing better in the very near future.
