Megan Thee Stallion and Tinder offer $1 million challenge for ‘authentic’ people to ‘put themselves out there’
The chart-topping hip hop superstar has partnered with Tinder to give a way a boatload of cash.
With the new #PYOTChallenge, the “WAP” rapper and the popular digital dating destination is offering $1 million dollars to help boost confidence and line the pockets of people who are not afraid to put their true selves out there to the masses.
Hence, the challenge’s initials are an acronym for “Put Yourself Out There.”
Tinder users who are unafraid to represent their authenticity on the popular app can enter to be among the 100 lucky winners who will walk away with $10,000.
“I want everyone to be comfortable sharing their authentic self online,” the Billboard streaming chart history maker said with the announcement of the promotion. “That’s why I’m partnering with Tinder to give away $1 million to celebrate the people who are putting themselves out there in a real way. By celebrating those who are already doing the hard work, we want to encourage more people to feel confident in who they are.”
“It’s been a challenging year, but we still see our members showing up with their next-level humor, creativity and honesty in their bios,” Tinder’s marketing chief Nicole Parlapiano said. “For those who are having a harder time putting themselves out there, we want to give them an extra boost of confidence and that’s why we’re bringing some of the most important voices in culture to help support them.”
The executive said that Megan Thee Stallion’s career is “a testament to where putting yourself out there can take you.”
People ready to make a dash for the cash only have to create a Tinder profile that shows off their “unfiltered” self and then grab a screenshot of their profile. The final step is for contestants to have the confidence to post that screenshot to their public Instagram account.
In order for the newly appointed Revlon cosmetics ambassador to see the entries, contestants must tag Tinder and use the PYOTChallenge hashtag, as well as the #Contest hashtags.
The deadline to enter is Dec. 31.
The three-time Grammy nominee is no stranger to challenges. Her Beyoncé-powered “Savage” remix ignited social media and digital video platforms with people from all walks of life dancing and creating celebrity-studded memes with the song as the backdrop.
Megan Thee Stallion’s most recent song, “Body” — from her newly released debut opus “Good News” — has become a viral sensation with many people showing no shame in baring their bodies in a fast and furious fashion.
